Thyroid Uptake systems
The radioactive iodide uptake test, or RAIU test, is a type of scan that is used to diagnose thyroid problems, especially hyperthyroidism. It is a completely different type of radioactive iodine therapy (RAI therapy), which uses much higher doses to destroy cancer cells. The RAIU test is used as an accompanying test of RAI therapy, to verify that there are no surviving thyroid cells that could be carcinogenic.
Measuring systems for conducting RAIU tests within RAI therapy, biological tests, quality assurance tests, laboratory and other tests, are manufactured by the world's leading manufacturer Capintec Inc., and are available through Kvark, the official distributor in the region.
