Baltic scientific instruments
Within the framework of the Ministry of Atomic Energy of the former Soviet Union, in 1994, the Riga Institute for Research and Development for Radioisotope Devices, founded the company BS Instruments, Latvia. The institute had responsibility for the development of radiation detection and measurement instruments for the atomic energy industry, mining, oil and gas industry, military and similar applications. A wide range of products, the highest level of technical knowledge and skills, had to meet the most modern technological requirements of the Soviet Union, which led the Bruker company to accept them into its famous system. After buying out its own shares from the company Bruker AXS, BS Instruments founded an independent company in 2010 that produces instruments for non-destructive analysis of gamma ix rays. Their products have found their application in several industries: nuclear energy, environmental monitoring, geophysics and mining, medicine and health, research including space science, security systems and customs control and other fields.
